Space to be Social
Getting to know and love our neighbours is at the heart of Christianity. Sadly, the pressures of modern life mean that, frequently, it is hard to meet new people and feel part of a community. Many of the activities that used to bring us into contact with others are now managed by technology – think online shopping, mobile banking… even that trip to the library is now more likely to be a visit to the Kindle store. Loneliness is becoming a modern epidemic but, here in Redlands Parish Church, we’re determined to do something about it!
We’re keen to make real-life get togethers a vibrant part of our local community, using our parish resources to become a hub for people from all backgrounds to get to know one another. We have weekly Craft and Scrabble groups that are open to everyone in the community (and are free!) and toddler groups. We also have monthly Coffee Mornings on the 1st Saturday of the month at 11am, please do come along to enjoy refreshments and a chat.
The Community Garden is a wonderful resource and everyone is welcome to join in on Thursday mornings and Saturday afternoons during the gardening season
Our Hall hosts many other groups for our local community
All are welcome for friendship and fellowship.
