Creative Spaces

Space to create

God inspires us to use our talents to create and to express ourselves, engaging with His world around us and reaching out to others in new and different ways.

Just as important as the will to create is the opportunity to do so. That’s why we’re determined to make chances to be creative available to as many people as possible.

Embracing the Arts

St Bart’s Church is home to Read College of Performing Arts, where talented young people hone their musical and dramatic skills. Our curate Serena offers a listening ear as these young people begin to step out into the world and shape the kinds of lives they want to live.

Music offers us another way to praise God and our choir is a great way of joining our souls with others as we sing our songs of praise.

“You’re closer to God’s heart in a garden
Than any place on earth.”

Our parish garden helps us engage with nature and appreciate the miracle of the changing seasons. Growing our own food reminds us that we should work to sustain ourselves in all areas of life. It’s a joyful, peaceful and thoroughly remarkable place where all are welcome to get their hands dirty and their minds calm.

Please do come along and be part of our adult crafting group.
Whether you have a project you’re already working on or would just like some company for an hour to have a chat and a cuppa, you’d be most welcome to join us at St Luke’s Church between 10.00am and 11.30am on Thursday’s and from 7.30pm until 9pm on Tuesday evenings.

The group is free and has a few materials available but donations are always welcome.
