Holy Week is fast approaching, a time when we celebrate new life, give thanks for sacrifice and explore who God is, what Jesus said and did and why that has made all the difference.
There are a host of services at St Luke’s and St Bart’s to mark Easter and we’d be delighted to welcome everyone to join any or all of them!
Palm Sunday 25 March – 9.45am and St Bart’s
A service of songs and palm crosses that begins at St Bart’s and then processes to St Luke’s to share in Holy Communion at 10.30am
Monday 26 March – 8.0pm – St Luke’s
“Us and Them” – A short Communion service with a thought-provoking talk about the community Jesus invites people to create with him.
Tuesday 27 March – 8.00pm – St Luke’s
“Courage and Resignation” – A short Communion service with a talk that explores the challenge to flourish as God’s children.
Wednesday 28 March – 8.00pm – St Luke’s
“Truth and Lies” – A short Communion service with a talk about the danger of projecting ourselves onto God.
Maundy Thursday 29 March – 8.00pm – St Luke’s
A service of songs and readings that begins with a celebration of Communion and ends remembering Jesus’ betrayal with the stripping of colour from the Church.
Good Friday 30 March – 8.00pm – St Luke’s
A service of poetry and silence as we journey from light to darkness and walk away from the cross in silence.
Easter Sunday 1 April
9.15am – St Bart’s
Hallelujah, He is Risen! We celebrate Easter morning in a service of thankfulness including Communion
10.30am – St Luke’s
“Life, and Life Again” An all-age, chocolatey service to celebrate the day Jesus revealed how much more there is to life.
